thank you for sharing your artistic ups and downs with utter (not udder) honesty. when a creative person suffers from 'insecure artist syndrome' they need to know they are not alone.

You beat me to it Gary!

I was going to let you you know about Weebly this week. I had been searching for a good freebie site for my granddaughter to use for her photography business and did one for myself with weebly to demonstrate it's ease of use.

My website is very simple, here is the link: http://www.adelaidedunn.com/

or simply google adelaide dunn.

Your site is fantastic, well done!

Hi Gary..just a comment..I have been creating for 50 years, usually mixed media "something".I did not understand my artful self for most of those years..now I do.......it is the journey, the experimentation, the ahh moments. It finally came to me because I never much care what happens to the finished product...I can sell it, give it away, store it, or even throw it out.....it is the journey that I have to take...realizing this makes it all the more relaxing and enjoyable..I don't sweat the perfection anymore...thanks for all the wonderful videos.

Hi Gary. I'm working on my website now. Thanks for the tutorial. I accidentally purchased my domain, thinking that it was the "pro" account. Ha! My daughter said I needed my own domain anyway, so...Now I feel like a real grown-up. Just gotta get in there and work it now. I was wondering, when you add a page, does it automatically go in the order in which you add, OR can you arrange the links at the top in the order you want them later? I noticed you had your history close to being first, and your links last. I like the way it's organized. Anyway, guess I'll go try to do a little today. I do want the pro account because you know I love my video! Gotta have that! Thanks again for "Rocking My World"! every day it's something new!

Gary,

Like most of your admirer's I found you on YT. I've been a gourd artist for over 20 years, and thought I'd seen every thing. NOT! Didn't realize I was kinda burned out until I watched some of your video's and techniques.... My creativity spirit has been recharged, and just wanted to thank you for taking the time to teach an old dog, new tricks...

By the way, have you ever thought about doing something with/on gourds? Will take any medium, and it's a challenge to work "in the round."

hi, gary, i just stumbled upon your website by checking out carla van den berg's favorites (your video on transparency image transfers) . . . i love your site! i'm a self-taught, think-about-it-all-the-time-at-my-day-job mixed media artist who lurks but rarely comments. i couldn't help but let you know how much i enjoyed your site & your blog, and how inspired i was by your videos demonstrating your wide-ranging interests and talents! your humor, wit and wisdom is refreshing, and your generosity of demonstrating techniques is appreciated. can't wait to see your encaustic work, as i've just begun to experiment with that myself. now i'm off to actually do something with those citra-solv papers i created last summer! thanks, from lola in the bay area, california

Your work is just stunning, I love every bit of it. Love the experimentation and your love of rusted metal and found objects. I too love all those things. I am a mixed media artist in North Carolina. I too am a big fan of Michael Demeng and have taken about 4 workshops with him, he is so inspiring.

Hey Gary :)
Around January of this year I stumbled across your YouTube page, and now I just can't get enough- your style of art is so free; you ARE right, it's not about the destination, it's about the journey. You have a great personality, and your sense of humour is awesome! And I really love the fact that you share your techniques and ideas with us, as some artists are very private. You have inspired me to get back into creating, so thank you so much for that! So, keep up the good work, I'm loving it! :)

Hi Gary,

Enjoy your You Tube posts alot! Great to hear a fellow artist just talk about stuff. By chance I found your site via your Tube posting relating to Francis Bacon. When I was a kid a friend of my father used to drink with Daniel Farson, author of Guilded Gutter Life of Francis Bacon, at such places as the London Hilton and Goldern Lion, Soho. At the time I heard the stories, but there was never any mention of Bacon. Farson and co were what you would call hardcore drinkers and mixed with some rich folk. Well that's the vague Bacon connection out the way. Funny but years later ended up going to the French House, Soho, where a photo of Francis hangs. Still the art is the thing that matters, good luck with everything back in Australia!

I have been a practicing artist for years, but sadly am only now starting to really branch out. I will keep watching. Do you ever feel overwhelmed with the choices. That is my main problem right now, how to choose. Could be worse. Thanks again. Kat.
