Materials List
Any type of hard box, cardboard box (as long as it is sturdy), and a selection of smaller gift boxes
Picture frame (Can be ornate and decorative)
Selection of assemblage bits and pieces, found objects, vintage photos (optional), unusual objects, anything eye catching and interesting etc
Silicon glue (This is a must)
LED Lights (Optional)
Collage and crafty materials (little dolls, butterflies, paper flowers etc)
Open mind ;)

About the Course
I have put together a pretty awesome little course designed to give you all the basic information that you will need to create your own unique Altered Boxes. I share thoughts, tips and techniques on creating an eye catching design. Learn about the type of boxes and frames I use, how to add lighting to give your boxes the WOW factor.
The course is mainly designed for beginners who have no or little knowledge in altered box construction, but I also believe that the course will also benefit the more experienced assemblage artist who is looking for a bit of inspiration and direction.
To give you ideas on construction techniques, there are several video tutorials showing you step by step from start to finish on how to create an altered box.
I talk about things to keep in mind when constructing your box (Tips on the external appearance and the Internal). There is over an hour of video to watch in total.
You will find many photo examples of altered boxes I have created to help give you some direction and inspiration.
You will work at your own pace and if you require longer than 4 weeks, please let me know (I know life has a way of getting in the road).
There are no PDF's, all the information you require is found in all of the videos (Note:Videos can be downloaded) but I have supplied some written information as well.
You may choose to take your own notes and write down information which you feel is relevant to your own creative path.
There is a challenge piece for this course and that is to create an Altered Box from what you have learned, but that is purely optional.
When taking this course you will be granted access to my new social network 'Mixed Media Courses' where you will find all of my online courses. (Once I have received payment I will send you a conformation email with further instructions)
You will have access to a chatroom in this group where you can talk and interact with other course members.
You can also post your questions and share your ideas and WIP's (Works in Progress).

Come with me on a creative journey. Together we will be exploring the world of Altered Books. I will be showing you 4 different project styles of Altered Book. From the 4 projects demonstrated, you can create one or several books of your choice for the class challenge.
